About us

Shattered Atlas Ltd. is company formed to make games that creates a sense of discovery and wonder: The thrill of the unknown, the joy of triumphing against the odds, and the awesome exciting and unsettling experience of exploring an unknown world.

As a fan of both table top and video games I started out when I was just a kid, with ad&d 1st edition and a ZX spectrum; both gave me extra venues for my imagination - places I could take ideas from all the books, comics, films and crazy imaginings of my own, and make them into something that others could play with. Turns out, they enjoyed it.

Their enjoyment spurred me on, and I kept (and still keep) on gaming and writing. Originally I modified versions of other peoples games systems into my own “homebrew” system, but I’d always wanted to make my own game. To take what I’d learned from years of gaming, ironing out the kinks and oiling the mechanisms, and producing a game that's fast and fluid, while still allowing for thoughtful tactics.

And finally, I can now offer other Games Masters and their players the tools to create a unique and engaging role play experience.

I was very fortunate to that my good friend Nick, and later Pat, helped me turn my mad scribblings, dedicated a lot of their time helping hone and organise them, into a coherent and balanced game system . With their assistance and a few years of playtesting, writing and rewriting, the manifold ideas have become refined enough to bring us to a point where we are ready to share the game with you.

This will be the first of many publications under the Shattered Atlas banner.  We are planning to release several more books as well as free downloadable content, scenarios, characters, monsters, maps, and other resources with everything you need (and likely more than that!) to run an exciting campaign in the apocalyptic wastes of the ruined realm.
